Lo spettrometro di massa a quadrupolo HMT è un sistema RGA dual mode unico, capace di operare a pressioni fino a 4x10^-3 senza bisogno di un sistema di pompaggio differenziale. Il funzionamento a queste pressioni viene ottenuto usando una combinazione di sorgente/quadrupolo progettata appositamente e un software che corregge le nonlinearità dell'abbondanza. La pressione di lavoro particolarmente alta rende HMT ideale per il controllo dei processi.

Overview

The HMT can also operate in RGA mode in the same way as a traditional quadrupole RGA. Faraday / electron multiplier detectors provide partial pressure sensitivities in the 10^-13 mbar range.
