Single Filament Cell (SFC)

Product description:

This type of effusion cell is designed for the evaporation of materials such as germanium, tin, gold, silicon, copper etc. A single tantalum wire is used for the heating system and PBN spacers for the electrical isolation. The heating system is surrounded by several tantalum foils to minimize heat dissipation and to concentrate the thermal power within the evaporation zone. The design is optimized with respect to thermal stability in order to obtain highest flux stability over an extended period of time. PBN crucibles are standard with this type of effusion cells. Other crucible materials are possible on request.
